Kultur 10 John Borger

Another round of Kultur. Another set of crazy things that Germans find normal.

I like how much fun Father's Day seems to be. I mean why not? It's Father's Day after all so let's go for it. If father wants to drink, then shouldn't we all? Of course pending you are of the legal age. I feel like Father's Day has become a hallmark holiday here in American and I want it to be more of a get off a work and head to the pub type of holiday. Anyways. There is nothing I hate more than stores not being open when I need them to. Growing up in Los Angeles, everything was open whenever I needed it to be. I could find whatever I needed and whenever I needed it. The idea of living in a place where that is not possible just seems annoying. Not to sound all first world and all, but I want to be able to groccery shop on my schedule, not someone else's. But I guess it is reasonable to see that this is not always the case everywhere else in the world. As far as the movie goes though. I guess German's are just strange in that way. The only thing that I think we have similiar to that is our Christmas movie marathons around the holiday times. Or maybe something like the Charlie Brown holiday movies and such. And boy do I love those movies.
